One thing we do when we go to hotel rooms at the dog shows with intact males is we wrap a baby diaper around their bodies. Small dogs size one and the rest are usually size 2, with 6lbs and larger size three. You can use a baby diaper pin to make sure it stays or pull the tabs and make sure they are wrapped around his body. That way until you get him trained he won't be ruining the furniture.
