fleas are pretty easy to see - unless they are against black fur. They are fast little buggers, but they usually "jump". I'm not sure if what you are describing is a fea or not, but flea droppings are usually kind of rusty/reddish, so if you bathed him and those disappeared, you might need to use something for fleas. There are lots of shampoos that have essential oils in them that act as flea repellents, but they won't kill the fleas. I personally use a combination heartworm/flea prevention called Sentinel that is given once a month in a small pill.
