When you called the vet on the tags did you ask whether or not they had files on dogs like the ones you have? Maybe her parents' name is similar to hers? IDK...maybe he doesn't have that many of that breed? Just a thought.
You might also take them in to have them scanned for a microchip. I hope it's all on the up and up, but what if they are stolen or something?
