To walk our two girls, I put my left hand through the handles of both and wrap the extra length around my wrist. This allows them to walk side by side, cross over each other as needed, yet not have too much length that they get tangled. It also leaves me with a free hand to separate them if needed (like if one decides to check out the other while there's business going on
).
