As a kid...the lady next door had a rooster. We both lived at the top of hill...at the bottom was the river. We had no a/c and that rooster woke us up at the crack of dawn every day.....soooooo her a/c goes out...now she can't sleep, calls her FIL...who comes over and shoots off the rooster's head. The rooster ran down the hill and into the river....she fished him out and made chicken salad.
PS I think she threw the legs away....
