Lolita was 14 months and 2.5 pounds. I was told that she should be spayed around 6 months...but she was just too tiny and I was a nervous wreck. She then went into heat at about a year and I rationalized that if her body was mature enough to go through a heat cycle,she was mature enough to get through a surgery successfully....but I was still a nervous wreck. Everything went well, but I am glad I waited.
