i let my new boy mount my girls when they were in heat but i did not let a tie occur. both went through false pregnancies. one was mild which was ok but my other is just like she is pregnant. big, swollen, hiding. the vet said there are no babies but it is nerve raking to think the vet might be wrong (which we have seen plenty of times)
i told the vet i let him mount to teach him the proper way (7 months old)thought one time there was an outside tie but he said there is a very slim chance of a pregnancy. it can happen but very slim.
