Hi! and welcome to YT.
My Bengi didn't like to poop in the pads at first either; he would pee but not poop. It took some time, each time I caught him going somewhere else, I would say No! and take him to the pad. Also, try to keep a dry pad when you know it's time for him to go, mine didn't like to go there when it was wet. Make sure the pad is placed in a spot where he's comfortable going. Before I have it by the fridge and he was afraid of it when it was starting to make a sound, so he didn't want to poop there as it requires "concetration" and he coudn't because he was scared.
About the neutering, talk to your vet, but it is better to have it done at 6 months, that's before sexual maturity. If he gets neutered then, you'll have less problems with marking and humping.
