congrats on your new girls. Sounds like you rescued them. I don't recommend crate training for an adult dog that was kept in a kennel all it's life. You're just going to have to start by taking them out to potty really often and reward them with treats as soon as they go potty. It's probably going to take a lot of patients and work. So far as spaying, you will want to have that done because they will still continue to go into heat and I doubt you want to deal with that any longer or deal with possible pregnancies. Good luck
