Eveen if they didn't want to return him...I think the chip comes up with your name..and if he was lost you could report it, so if/when the people that found him took him to the vet you could track him. I am not sure if this is correct...just how I thought it would work??? But here it costs like $50.00 I think so I will be having them do it to Maximus when he gets neutered..and yeah my bf is a scrooge too!!!
BTW...the first day Maximus went to his checkup he ran the microchip thing over his body to see if he was microchipped and said he does it for every dog if it is their first time at his practise!!
