I am heartbroken about your little Cody. Have you tried calling all of the Vets around there? Maybe someone took him to a vet and mentioned he was a stray. It could give you a lead as to where he went.
I hope you find him. I pray who ever picked Cody up are giving him a good life. Ad in paper, inform the vets, etc.
