Confused Six weeks old and 12 ounce puppies

Well here I go again. I took Timmy and Faith in today for the dreaded six week check up with the vet. My vet just laughed when we took them out of the carrier. I have a digital scale and check them three times a day- to see if there has been any growth. I have two beautiful, happy, healthy babies who tip the scales at 12oz and 12 1/2 ounces. At this rate they are going to be too little for me to keep as a show prospects.

I looked in the local paper today and as usual it has numerous advertisements for Yorkie puppies. Many have babiews they are the same age as my babies and they are letting new owners take them home. What in the world are the breeders thinking and what in heavens name are the new owners thinking. Those kids are no more ready to leave home- then I am to run a marathon. ( humor in that is I went to the ER again yesterday cause I tripped and fell again. Third time in two months not doing to good here they are starting to know my name. Hubby is afraid that I am going to be mad at him one day and respond yes when they ask if he hurt me. One way to keep that ole boy in line. LOL- A side effect of my cancer treatments to my head is that I have Parkinson's disease and trip and fall at times)

I have called the other breeders some have pupppies that never been to the vet- some no shots or worming at all. It worries me when they state they wormed them and gave them the puppy shot themselves. Unless you are a vet or have been taught by someone in in the field- how do they know how much worming med or immunizations to give those puppies.

It may cost me a lot more in the pocket book to raise my babies- but I feel a lot safer having the vet make those decisions for me.
