Im going through the same thing with cody. He has a white patch where no hair is... and he was scratching terribly. i took him to the vet and she did a skin scrape and culture. she said he didnt have mites or mange. she thought he was just losing his puppy coat.. so about a few weeks i took him back and she gave him cortisone shot and 3V vitamins to help put oil back in his coat. those didnt help it gave him bad diarrhea. i switched his food from science diet to royal canin puppy 33 and he doesnt itch hardly and i think that spot may be getting better.
