I give gifts to everyone who does a service for me. Vet. mail carrier, gardener, (use to give to school bus drivers) Doctor, dentist and so on. It's usually See's candies, tin of mixed nuts or cookie and such. Just a little something to let them know I'm thinking of them too.

I usually give Sees as well, my Vet's staff usually gets me in when they're busy, a little goes a long way....
But, I'm surprised you would suggest a poinsettia as they are poisonous to animals....I love them, but never have them in my house. (Just for those that don't know is the reason I mentioned it) I would assume as long as they are up high they would be fine thou, I just happen to have a cat that jumps on everything.....
