I've heard people call yorkies cats as if they aren't real dogs because they're small. But I've never heard of someone honestly thinking a yorkie was a cat up close...maybe far away, but not up close. A cat and a dog just look completely different no matter the breed, size, or color. What did the neighbor say when you told them she was a dog? I bet they felt stupid...
