they suspect that it could be a liver problem that's why they want to get the ultrasound done but they can't be sure that's what the problem is. My sister just went through all of this with her yorkie and nothign was the matter with him.
I'm not sure but they said that it's possible that it's a liver issue and that she might not wake up from her spay. I just thought shunts and stuff the acid bile numbers were a lot higher. I'm not sure about the total protein thing...I looked at a website with all of the blood ranges etc. and it says normal is 5.2-7. and her first one was 4.9 (low protein) and her second one was 5.4 which is just in the normal range.
she had a urinalysis done which showed that she wasn't losing protein through her urine, so that was good.
