If you don't see a stop sign next to your address bar, you can go to "tools" on the top of the screen and click on AdBlock. This will bring up a list of ads that are running on your screen (atleast it should) and you can right click to block them. For anyone that has to disable flash, are you using Explorer? You can always download Firefox since it is way better anyway.
