.......I'm sure it's both.........but the raw meaty bones really give their teeth a workout ...the pulling and tearing of the meat off the bone, the chewing and grinding of the raw bones....some (esp pet food companies) want you to think kibble is hard enough to clean teeth but it only adds to the tartar build up.....and when vets give a teeth cleaning it's only cosmetic meaning the real problem lies in the bacteria that goes below the surface and effects the general health ....dogs LOVE and CRAVE raw bones...............pet food companies know this........why else would they make most of their treats in the shape of a bone....as if our dogs really care about the shape!!!........they want the REAL THING! |
