The couple next door has a very old, mixed rottie named Bear. She can hardly get around - she drags her back end - and has no teeth at all. The neighbors say she's about 14 years old. I don't see them feed her or give her water or even pay any attention to her at all. I leave food and water out for her on the other side of my back fence.
2 nights ago, my son and I came home and saw Bear lying in the ditch beside my driveway. Mitch got out and both of us thought she was dead. He went to the neighbors' house to tell them and they came out to check on her.
She could pick up her head, but that's all. The man went back inside and came out with a gun and shot her
It just broke my heart!
I just feel like that poor old girl deserved better than that! I didn't know the guy was going to shoot her!
I just needed to vent about this, it really tore me up.
