Its funny because my mother and I were talking about this exact topic at lunch today. I agree that its selfish. I had my first child at a very young age and even though I was younger than most, Im 29 and my daughter is 11 and I do like the fact that she feels like she can talk to me feels like I do get "it" as opposed to me and my mom, at 11 I felt she was the last person who would understand me lol.
