I will say this. I do feel very sorry for the dog, and she needs a proper vet. I have had a similar experiance with a vet taping a cat several years back after a spay, it was awful, because just like this little dog, her stiches came open, and like this other vet, they said there was nothing we could do but keep her extreamly clean and let it heal from the inside out. They said it was dangerous to close it up because infection was likly already in there and by sewing her, it would get worse. Well, it looked very, very bad for about a month and a half, but it did eventully heal. My mother and I felt so bad for the kitty and felt like it was our fault becasue we had gotten her spayed with that vet. They had said at the time it was a new way of closing surgery sites. I have never heard of it before or since until now. I would never have it done agian, actully I make sure they dont before I take them in. I hope this little fur baby will be ok, ours turned out ok, so there is hope. (and it doesnt bleed they way you would think, but it does weep, because it is open tissue. ) However ends up woth theis girl they need her on antiboitics and keep it clean, and she cannot go anywhere but the vet, otherwise she can get a serious infection. Good luck, and please keep us posted.
