i had to have c-sections on my last two litters. I also had the girls spayed because , one was to small to have been bred in the first place and I should never have listened to my vet when he said, go ahead. kandy was spayed the other day because i was only going to breed her one more time then retire her so one more litter just wasn't worth it to me to have her go thru it again. she always had been a free whelper with large litters but this time one was wedged sideways as tight as can be and the vet and myself both did everything before we chose to have a section to save the other four. My vet charged me $260. for both the section and the spay.
