Giving a dog any medication to shrink a ligament sounds odd to me since there are many ligaments in the body. Also the ligament needs to be over the knee cap before shrinking it. If it isn't over the knee cap, then it won't work. I would not take these chances with this condition. Go to a regular Vet. |
Hi, when I purchased my little Jazzie, she had a lot of popping in the knees. I had no clue about this ailment. When I took her to the vet he told me she had the lp, pretty severe, he said a 3 in one leg and a 4 in the other. At the time I hoped for the best, put her on a good balanced diet and walked her 2x a day, just around the block. When I took her back to the vet 3 months later. He noted that her muscle tone in her legs does show improvements. I had noticed less popping but thought maybe it was just me being hopeful. I'm not saying its because of the walking and food, but perhaps it has helped. I am going to take her to a specialist in a few weeks to get a better assesment of her condition in case there might be more that I can do for her to help her with this condition or if she needs surgery.
If you know of anything else that I should try. ... please let me know, thanks.
