Can Yorkie's get diabeties? Is this a common disease for Yorkies?
We are very worried about Isabelle! My wife agreed to switch to my vet so that both of our dogs are seeing the same doctor. Isabelle has had this growth or bald spot almost on her muzzle next to her nose for 6 months + and her old vet said that it was just from her scratching it or rubbing it. Isabelle doesn't rub or scratch that area, at least from what I noticed. I brought Isabelle to see the vet that I've been seeing for quite some time with my lab (I trust him since he goes to our church and has been great with my lab) and he was concerned about the area on her muzzle. He also checked out her teeth and noticed that one of the upper teeth is a baby tooth and that she needed a teeth cleaning. He wrote me up an estimate for teeth cleaning, X-rays (if needed), tooth extractions (if needed), and a biopsy on the area near her nose.
We are at conflict with what we should do and any suggestions or advice would be helpful. We are willing to do what is needed to keep Isabelle healthy.

Having a goooooood well balanced dog food is many times the "cure" to our babies ailments. Some good food examples - Innova, Life Abundance, Natures variety, Merrick. These don't contain, corn or grains that dogs sometimes do not tolerate. Research what you currently feed and compare it to some of the mentioned above. Lots of Luck to you with your baby yorkie.
