I totally agree! When it comes down to it, you did a great thing and you won't have to live the life your sister does. In the end $2,000 won't make or break your life. Sometimes its best to let it go, even if its hurts a bit.
On another note, Im sorry to hear the passing of your parents. That must have been a rough year for you.
