Start taking him out on a leash (if you don't already) and tell him to pee pee (or whatever you say). Then after he goes, tell him to poop. You have to wait with him--however long it takes, even if that means all day. Don't take him back in until he does it. When he does, praise him and give him his favorite treat. After a few times, he'll get it.
