One of my nephews stepped (really hard) on Tatum's foot when she was only about 10-11 weeks old. Oh, she cried so hard and loud. Well, we had a church luncheon thing to go to right after that happened and lo and behold, I ran into my vet there! Of course I'm sure they're used to getting accosted with pet questions away from the clinic so I hated to bother him. But I did, and he said watch her for the rest of the day and if she still wouldn't walk on it by morning to bring her in. She was fine within a few hours. But yes, they are delicate and bad things can happen very quickly so you're wise to be concerned. I hope she's all better now.
