Jazzy,

I have issues w/ people who breed purebreds out to another purebred of a different breed to make a mix for the sake of doing it.
If someone is doing it because they actually have a goal in mind to create a new breed and set forth a standard and have it serve a purpose on such a level that it can be proud of and be recognized by a large kennel society like the AKC for example, then that's fine. That's how our "purebreds" became such. They were all mixes in the beginning...but that's not how they ended up. When put in the right loving and knowledgeable hands, mixed breeds turned purebred over generations can blossom into something beautiful!

Now, we all know that's likely not the case here, just thought I'd share my 2 cents too.

And there are some damn cute mix breeds out there...but cuteness and a soft coat doesn't/shouldn't earn you breeding rights.
