I use a plastic pretzel container. It is shaped like a barrel and it is clear with a flip top lid. It holds my 5-6 lb bag of food perfect. I got it at Wal-Mart and it was very inexpensive. I keep it in my pantry and I keep a mug in there to dip out the food. Just flip up the lid and scoop it up and then just push the lid back down. The whole lip also screws on and then the flip top has hindges on one side so it is always attached. I love it and it is perfect for us and anyone that buys the smaller bags of food. I will post a pic if I get time.
