No. Except of course if you give him raw, keep an eye on him so he doesn't choke, or else cut them into coins. Tink likes them parboiled so they are still crisp but not too crisp. When she was teething, I gave her cold ones to help with the tooth pain. She also loved ice cubes chopped up and still does. I tried popcicles but she preperred the ice.
