Thank you to Peanut Kim -- my very sincerest thank you's for posting the prayer thead and for this one.
We have had an exciting evening, but all is well -- our porch is destroyed, I'll post pics tomorrow -- I am sure that there is some interior damage as well, and a lot of smoke -- but Praise the Lord, my son, Earl, who was grilling is unharmed and he was quick thinking enough to open the doors and get the furbutts out. We drove up about the time that he opened the door and I grabbed up Scarlett and Kooper and put them in the trailer, next were two of Chizzie's puppies..... Earl handed me Peppy and I stashed him in the tack room of the horse trailer and by that time Chattie and Chizzie were fighting.... Chattie went in the trailer with Kooper, Scarlett and the two pups and Chizzie went in my mini van.... Earl had the other two puppies in the car and was backing it out of the garage.
After the fire was out and most of the smoke cleared we got all of the dogs back inthe house except for Peppy -- I looked in the horse trailer twice -- opened the door and called him and NOTHING..... for over an hour we combed the neighborhood -- about dark a neighbor came over to help with the search and as we walked past the trailer Ron heard a teeny little bark.....
and the rest is happy history. |
