I also work in insurance. And I currently do the billing for a mental health clinic from home and go into the office once a week. The income is ok (although i think hospitals pay much better) IT's not something I love to do as honestly, coding and insurance billing can be tedious and boring and frustrating. BUT it's not difficult and you can make a good income.
