I used to help run a charity shop here in UK. Basically we had to rent a shop premises, pay for public liability insurance, property insurance, security alarms, fire alarms,gas and electricity, phone line, and a storage facility as we grew bigger, which in turn needed public liability insurance, property insurance, security alarms and fire alarms. What came in we paid out which was why in the end we stopped
