Last night, my mom's yorkie Mazie, who will be 7 on the 24th of this month, lost a tooth. We noticed she was bleeding from her mouth and had a loose tooth and she eventually lost it.

My question is, is it normal for dogs of this age to be losing teeth? (I don't remember our other yorkie Moochie, who lived to be 16 losing teeth)

My mom did brush her dogs teeth on Saturday but she said her gums didn't bleed then or anything. Any advice/information on this is greatly appreciated!
