increased frequency of urination was the first sign my male showed. then it went so straining to pee then to not being able to pee at all. al the small sand like crstals built up in one spot and blocked him. his stones was also small crystals like sand.
Did your vet put him on a pecial food to try and help desolve them? did he try and wash.flush them out of his bladder this dont always work with a male. Mickey had it done 3 times./ is he having surgery to remove them? if hes not doing any of these things I would get a second opinion. keeping the little one in my prayers.
