If she is having problems keeping them up you may have to shave more off until they firm up. At her age she may be teething ( getting adult teeth in, losing deciduous teeth). I have heard and tried to give calcium if the ears are floppy. I don't know if the calcium helped or just the time.
The groomer is correct in saying that just the ends are usually shaved though. (about the top 1/3 in a V shape)
