I am not engaged but did anyone see 'Serendipity' the movie? I love that movie..anyway Kate Beckingsale, when her 'fiance' in the movie proposed to her i thought it was SOOOOO ROMANTIC! In case you didn't see it he put candles all over the room, and flowers i think. Then he had a HUGE box waiting for her when she got home. She opened it and inside was a smaller box, and so on, so on until she got to one tiny little box, which was the engagement ring. I always thought that was a sweet way to do it, privately and romantic.
