Needless to say we are more excited than Aria is. She is not very fond of the idea. We had them meet today in a place other than our home but at home Aria just barks at her. For those of you who have introduced a puppy to an older dog...How long does it take for them to get used to each other? How often and for how long should we let them be with eachother?

Addaley is just adorable! Aria will warm up to her new fursister in time. It takes a few days. I wouldn't leave them alone together for a couple of weeks-one so they're used to each other, and two so the puppy can grow a bit just in case they play too hard together. I pretty much just let mine both be together all the time when we were home, and I didn't have any problem. The puppy will probably "bug" the adult to play with her, but that's part of the deal with a new puppy!
Since Aria is barking at her, you might put the puppy in an xpen, and let Aria get to know her through the bars where they both can see each other, but yet they both feel safe.
