I think the poster above gave good advice. They learn at their own rate and like skin-kids, not all at the rate written in all the books.

Tink poo trained from the start, except for a few accidents. Potty was another matter. She has had some illnesses and that of course caused some setbacks in the training process. But at one year, she has her regime down now. Poo and potty outside in the morning, potty outside in the afternoon, potty on the potty pad in the evening and at night. Poo on the "other" potty pad at night, drive mommy crazy in the evening ringing the bell to go outside and bark at the scarecrow next door or whine for the neighbor's Golden to come out and stare at her. while mommy waits to see if she will really go potty (which she never does, but she might ya know).

Some like to potty outside, some don't. You'll just have to wait and see what your little guy decides to do. He'll let you know. Good luck and welcome to YT. Post some pics of your little guy so we can ooh and aah over him with you!
