When I picked out my Sammy and Sophie I visited once a week. With Sophie I left a little blanket and shirt with our smells on them. By the time we picked her (around 9 and a half weeks) up she was used to her name and us. Our breeder was great and suggested the bonding experience. I think it helped alot.
