Survivor 1 takes 7.5 + 0.5 = 8, leaving 7.
Survivor 2 takes 3.5 + 0.5 = 4, leaving 3.
Survivor 3 takes 1.5 + 0.5 = 2, leaving 1.
The monkey gets the final coconut.

It's a long explaination. I did it backwards.
but forward 1st surv. (w/15) divided by 2 is 7.5 minus .5 equals 7
then 2nd surv. takes half of 7 which is 3.5 then takes .5 which equals 3
then surv.3 takes half of three which is 1.5 then takes .5 which leaves 1 for the monkey (I LOVE YOU MONKEY!!! YOU CAN SURVIVE WITH THAT 1!!!)

1 from monkey plus half that surviver took equals 1.5 then mult. by 2 because he took half and opisite of divide is mult... that equals 3 then add another .5 from 2nd surviver which equals 3.5 the mult by 2 which equals 7. then add .5 to make 7.5 Then to get the total for 1st surviver you mult that by 2 also and I THINK it's 15...........
