We were at a jewelry store with a friend of his who was buying a ring for his g/f. I was helping HIM pick out a ring for her. I found one I absolutely fell IN LOVE with. DH bought it and proposed to me right there in the store. It took me a minute to get over the shock - I was so busy helping his friend pick out a ring I didn't even notice DH had bought the one I loved. After it registered that he had just asked me to marry him I finally said yes.
