I have to agree with the other breeders. I not only don't take deposits early but I don't allow the pups to be viewed until they've had their first set of shots. I evaluate at 8 weeks of age to see if I have a possible show potential and than I advertise. There's no reason to let someone's heart get set on a dog that may not turn out to be what they want and at birth is definitely too young to be able to tell.
