Has he been thoroughly dewormed? Intestinal worms or other parasites like coccidia can cause loose stools and upset tummies. Parasites are really common in puppies, and even if they are dewormed once it may take additional doses of medication to get the problem under control. If he keeps having loose stools you'll probably want to get a stool sample checked out by your vet.
