Layla came with thick wavy hair as well... she will loose her puppy coat and her adult coat will come in.. however Layla still has thick wavy/curly hair. Yokrie coats come in two varieties... wavy or straigh. A good way to tell how it will end up is to take a picture without the flash and see what color her eyes look like... if they look green it should be a straight coat, if it is red,,, like Layla's, she will have a "Cottony: coat
