Ten yrs ago I put down my cat Cheesecake after 14 yrs....the last 5 yrs of her life she spent getting insulin shots twice a day...for 5 yrs the vet changed her food from Science r/d to k/d to whatever d/s they happen to have...she still had to get the shots and she still had diabetes (and arthritis from the shots).....vets do not go to school for nutrition....they go to school for medication and surgery.....so where do they learn about nutrition....from the pet food companies that sponsor classes on nutrition....and what do the pet food companies know about nutrition.....they know that phrases like "complete healthy nutrition" and "balanced healthy diet"...mean healthy pockets for them.....and since vets get profits from the pet food you can only buy from them why shouldn't they trust the pet food companies.....so how do you know what food to buy....research the pet food companies your product is coming from to see if the trail leads to compassionate, caring people who want the best for your babies...........
