I had the same thing, and I felt so much better after the surgery that it was amazing! It IS serious surgery, but it's going to be fine. They will do all kinds of pre-op testing to make sure that you are healthy enough for surgery and anesthesia The recovery wasn't too fun for me, but they had to cut me from my belly button down to my old c-section scar, as the surgeon didn't know what they were looking for. MRI's and ultrasounds were inconclusive on me.

Will you have some help for a couple of weeks afterward? You won't be able to do any laundry, cleaning, or cooking. Freeze up some easy to heat meals until your surgery day, it'll help to cut down on takeout meals, clean-up, and it'll keep you busy until then
