I've had three lumps removed in the last 10 years. all have been benign but I always err on the side of caution. My mom and my baby sister both died from breast cancer. My sisters lump did not even show up on a mammogram and my mom's was prior to mammo's. I have a wonderful doctor who I believe certainly extended my sisters life as the radiologist who read her mammogram said she had as much chance of having cancer as having the roof fall on her head (she was only 22). But the surgeon was concerned and wanted to remove it. Thank god he did as it was cancerous. Unfortunately, it came back almost 10 years later but to her bones this time and eventually spread thru her body like wildfire. Anyways, I'm not saying all this to scare you just to remind everyone that they should be doing self exams and getting mammography's every year. I'm sure things will be fine for you but things like this remind us how lucky we are to be able to take our health for granted when so many others are not!
