Honestly the only thing this is used for in hospital is as a puppy and kitten distractor when giving vaccines. tastes yummy and it keeps their minds off being poked with a needle. We do not give it after surgery. its mostly used for puppies. it's sometimes mixed with wet food to get them to eat when sick in hosp, but not for healthy pups.

To the OP, if you want to use this product, its not going to hurt but its also probably not going to be of much use either besides giving her a sugar rush. If you want her to eat better perhaps find a better quality food, or mix wet food in with the dry. Lots of people here homecook or feed raw (me) and their dogs eat like crazy. Most others feed a high quality kibble like Canidae, Chicken Soup, Wellness, Merricks, or Solid Gold.
