I am on 24 hour call with my mommy horses and get in there and have had to assist with foaling.

My momma dog will be 7 weeks on Friday and she is sooooo big already. We will be having x-rays to determine how many pups she has in there. I have read a TON and feel that I am as prepared as I can be.....is there any advise from you veterans out there that I should know that maybe the "books" aren't telling me? What about tail docking and dew claws? Is this something that I can do by myself or do I have to take them to the vet??
First of all...Welcome to YT, it's a fun place to be and Congratulations on your upcoming litter! Yorkies are the best!
2nd - Your momma dog is 7 weeks today (Friday)? My girl Lexie will be 7 weeks tomorrow (Saturday) and it's her (and my) first litter also. Another YT'r, LuvmyYorkies2 has a girl due to whelp at almost the same time too! Aren't we all going to be having fun sharing baby pictures. Do you have any pregnant belly pictures to share. Here is one of Lexie taken last week at 6 weeks. When the vet palpatated her belly early on she said she felt 2 puppies. We'll see how accurate that was next Friday (the 12th) when Lexie goes in for her X-ray. Good luck to all of us!
